Brown Sugar and Pecan Baked Brie

This “dip” is my go-to when I’m feeling a bit fancy but don’t have the time. I’ve made it for holiday parties, as an appetizer for dinner at my parents house and even for Football Sunday. It’s pleasing to the ladies in my life as well as my younger brothers. Definite crowd pleaser.

• 1 wheel of brie
• 1 cup of chopped pecans
• 3 tablespoons of brown sugar (maybe a bit more)
• 1 tablespoon of butter
• Selection of crackers and thinly sliced breads

1. Start by placing the wheel of Brie into a microwave safe dish just a tad bit bigger than the wheel (make sure the brie doesn’t have to much room to melt away).
2. Make 4 slices in the “crust” of the Brie.
3. On the stove, melt butter over low-medium heat.
4. Add pecans and brown sugar. Cook until the pecans are nice and toasted.
5. Pour over Brie and microwave for about 3 minutes or until the Brie is nice an melted allowing the pecan mixture to combined. Note: You can also bake this in the oven at 375 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.
6. Enjoy!
